Executive Officer

National Weatherization Corporation seeks a forward-thinking executive with strong management skills and a proven development background to provide leadership and direction.  The National Weatherization Corporation is the only national for-profit organization that supports the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP).  Recently founded, the National Weatherization Corporation plans to have multiple service points located throughout the country.

The new CEO must provide strategic and operational leadership for staff across the nation that will lead to expected results on growth and revenues.  Successful candidate must have excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to recruit and work with top-level government, corporate and community leaders.

In addition, the CEO must also lead and motivate staff teams across the nation.  A minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in strategic planning; organization design, quality process and business systems improvement, program and budget management is critical.  Direct experience in or regular exposure to a non-profit, volunteer-intensive organization is a preferred.  Bachelor's degree in business, public health, public administration, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Marketing Officer

The CMO should have proven success of driving sales with the Federal & State Government specifically focusing on the Department of Energy (DOE) and Housing and Urban Development (HUD).  Qualifications include:

  • Extensive knowledge of Federal & State Government contract requirements, bidding processes and cycles
  • Knowledge of Electrical Utility contract requirements and bidding processes is helpful
  • Should have experience working with construction, cost engineering, or consulting services
  • Proven track record of growing sales
  • This position is based in Washington, D.C. Extensive travel within the USA is required

This executive will function as the leader for the organization's sales and business development initiatives and serve in an absolutely critical role, assisting with the development of high-quality Federal & State Government and the private sector proposals to drive business initiatives and ensure all company goals are attained.  The ideal candidate should have a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.  This individual will have a demonstrated record of achieving demanding goals and an ability to thrive in a high-pressure, faced paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Project Managers

NWC is seeking several applicants in this category.  A Lead Project Manager will be based in the Washington D.C. Metro Area.  Additional Project Managers will be based in the Capitol Cities of several States.  A Regional Project Manager may be assigned to several States.  Project Managers will typically direct the functioning of many simultaneous small programs, developing strategies and plans necessary for rapid program completion.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Defines the objectives and strategies of the program, to include strategic and company objectives consistent with customer and contractual requirements
  • Manages independent contractors
  • Insures that materials are delivered promptly and correctly
  • Conducts regular reviews of program performance, evaluating the current and projected status against the approved plan
  • Provides training and mentoring of program management skills to subordinate and assigned employees

The Lead Project Manager should have the following qualifications.  Qualifications of Regional Managers or Managers for a single State may be less.

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 10 years experience
  • Relevant experience as a new business capture lead
  • Relevant experience in budget development and cost tracking
  • Relevant experience in risk mitigation
  • Relevant experience in customer facing situations
  • Strong interface skills in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication skills; both written and oral
  • PMP Certification
  • The ability to travel extensively
