Mission & Vision

The mission of the National Weatherization Corporation is to support clean energy initiatives to benefit all Americans.  We specialize in the implementation of energy programs, making them efficient while enhancing stakeholder value.

The vision of the NWC is to foster strong relationships with public and private organizations supporting high-impact energy conservation programs.  These programs will result in an improved quality of life for people while creating sustainable jobs.

NWC provides Compliance and Project Management services. We are working to create clean-energy jobs by retrofitting homes through weatherization.

In October NWC was awarded an exclusive statewide one-year contract from the New Jersey Community Action Association to provide Davis-Bacon Compliance Services, Registration & Weekly Certified Payrolls.

Recovery Act Funds

Job creation is key to reviving the economy, labor secretary Hilda Solis says: "The president wants to weatherize a million homes."  "We are expecting to see hundreds of thousands of, if not short of a million, jobs created just in weatherization."

The Department of Energy's Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) enables modest-income families to permanently reduce

their energy bills by making their homes more energy efficient, at no cost to the dwelling occupants.  The average expenditure limit is $6,500 per home.

The Recovery Act includes a strong commitment to oversight and accountability, while emphasizing the need to quickly deliver funding to states to help create new jobs and stimulate local economies.
